John Ristow is the Deputy Director, Transportation Planning and Project Delivery for the City of San José Department of Transportation. John is responsible for transportation planning, policy development and the Capital Improvement Program, which includes overseeing the project delivery of the San José’s street, pedestrian and bicycle system and coordinating with federal, state and regional agencies on delivery of highway and transit projects.

Prior to this position, John was the director of Planning and Program Development with the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority. John graduated from the University of Colorado with a Master’s degree in urban and regional planning.
