Hal Hart has been the planning director for both counties and cities over the years. His greatest passion is his family, followed closely by working with communities to implement their plans through place making.

His family roots were tied to southeast Alaska and Juneau-Huna-Nome areas via the Alaska Steamship Companies and fishing from the 1890s to the 1930s. But having visited Anchorage he has been thoroughly amazed at the powerful beauty of it setting.

Hal has B.A. from Central Washington University in local government finance and economics. He received a Master Degree in urban and regional planning from Eastern Washington University.
