Janine Clark made her way to Austin, Texas via AmeriCorps VISTA. After her year of service with Austin Mayor Steve Adler’s office, developing processes, resources, and partnerships to increase resources available to Austinites, she was hired for her current position as a Policy Aide. Hailing from Flagstaff, Arizona, Janine is deeply connected to the landscapes and places that draw people together. Prior to her term of service, Janine produced economic development reports for a local economic development organization in Tucson, Arizona, co-authored culturally relevant USDA programming material for the Hopi reservation, and developed English as a Second Language Curriculum for a Tucson-based refugee organization. Janine holds a BS in Community and Regional Development from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
