The National League of Cities awarded Nashville a 2017 Equitable Development Fellowship.

Music City is one of six cities that will receive technical assistance from the Washington, D.C.-based organization to improve economic opportunities and economic mobility, especially as rents become less affordable and the prosperity-inequality gap widens in metro areas across America.

Nashville will focus on spurring manufacturing in high-poverty areas known as Promise Zones.
